What happens when you call 000?
When you call Triple Zero (000) and ask for the fire brigade, your call is forwarded to a central Fire Command Centre who take the details of the incident and disptach either the NSW Fire Brigades or the NSW Rural Fire Service.
Macarthur Fire Control Centre then receive this call who notifies Narellan Brigade members through a pager network.
While this may seem to be time consuming, our Brigade regularly has its units responding to incidents within 7-8 minutes of receiving the call.
